Letting Go

Last October, we learned that I had the option of relocating to Arizona or lose my job. After much consideration, a trip to AZ, and many prayers, we decided that staying in Denver was the best option for us. So in December, I was laid off.

Part of that decision was knowing that we were going to have to let our home go up for sale. Not just because of money, but because of many other reasons as well - decision to stay was to do what we felt was the right thing to do, and that was to be more involved with the people who are already in our lives by moving closer to them. It also meant that we needed more room before too long because of the anticipation that my mother would eventually live with us.

Well, it took it 9 months to get to the point of showing our home. Not that there was 9 months of work. But my husband and I tend to be perfectionists. And deep down, I don't think we were quite ready to get rid of it. But here we are in September, and we actually have our home on the market. Below are the pictures:

Even though this hasn't been an easy process, we have learned a few lessons that we will take with us. For that, we are grateful. We will dearly miss this home. We have loved it since the moment we laid our eyes on it. And we can only hope that whoever purchases this home will love it as much as we did.
